Bio: Hideto's past isn't very deep or widely known. He never talks about it unless asked. What little has been found out is he comes from an average, nondescript family with no brothers or sisters. His father worked in a factory and his mother was a teacher. Few have asked him any deeper details than that, so he's not given any. Beyond his past, what concerns him most is his music. He's trying to become a singer, either solo or in a band, and he follows the Visual Kei style of Japanese Rock (JRock) though not to the grotesquery of some popular bands. His look is more gothic neo-Victorian and has none of that "one eye with weird contact lens colour and black scraggly lines from the corners of his mouth with fake blood drooling down his face and chest" which other JRockers employ for style. He seems beyond optimistic he will make it, having an almost arrogant confidence about his future success. When asked what he thinks of his chances of making it big, he's been heard to say, "Singing? I was designed for it. That is, in fact, why I was created."

Personality: Not exactly aloof, but he's not a gregarious sort. He will talk about his music at length but only if you show an interest in it. He seems more interested in making a statement by his style of dress and mannerisms, which comes off as shallow. Despite his calm, cool, almost cold demeanor, he'll have odd moments of compassion that seem out of character for what he's usually like.

Reason for working in the cafe: He's not made it big yet, and as such, it would seem he has to make money somehow. If asked, he'll answer strangely, "It is my prime directive until I get signed to a music label."

Bio: Finch is an orphan whose parents died in a mysterious fire when he was about 14 years old. Ever since this happened, he never tells anyone his real name but is known only as Finch. As he had no relatives close by, he then went to live with a friend of the family who owns an antique shop/cafe. Although he has little formal education, he is bright and speaks in a rather unique way. In some ways he seems older than his 17 years, and in some ways he seems younger.

Finch is curious and likes to talk to people, mostly encouraging them to talk about themselves while he remains a mystery. He is very polite and charming but something about him seems a little dangerous. He's also quite flirtatious, and doesn't discriminate between males and females when he turns on the charm. He has a temper, but very few ever see it. Generally he knows more about what's going on around him than he lets on. He has his own set of morals and adheres to them strictly, and expects others to do the same.

While he still works in the antique shop, he also works part time in the cafe, for he thinks it is a good way to meet new people, which he is always interested in doing, despite the fact that he never seems to get close to anyone. Perhaps he just hasn't found the right person yet...

Bio: Pearce is currently on loan to Café Nocturne from the Hotel Denouement, where he works days as a porter/flaneur and moonlights as emcee for saucy puppet shows. He can often be found spying at certain keyholes, scaling certain elevator shafts, delivering certain coded messages in the form of certain arrangements of certain sprigs of parsley atop certain servings of pâté de foie gras into the hands of certain agents posing as certain film noir directors, and smoking in the john. He spends most of his spare time in cold storage.

Bio: Seungri grew up wherever the family business took him. He never settled in one place long enough to call any one place “home”. He generally doesn’t like talking about his past because to him, it’s too boring and it cramps his style. He’s sociable and talkative, and sometimes can come across as arrogant to some with his “don’t give a…” attitude. Whether it be boy or girl, Seungri doesn’t care!

He was sent to Toronto on an exchange program from Korea, and was looking for a place to live and a job to pay rent. He got a message from a friend to head to Café Nocturne and the rest is, well, history.

Bio: Sudarshen (or just Shen) is the 7th son of a 9th son. He was an unexpected child with a difference of 20 years between him and his oldest sibling. His father is full-blood Aboriginal and is the Medicine Man of their Clan. His mother is Romani (Gypsy). Shen has learned his mystic knowledge from both parents, blending fortune telling with the Old Path. He is considered an accomplished storyteller and frequently lets Fate guide his life believing She has a Plan for him. Shen most often declines to reveal his age, saying instead that he's old enough to know better, yet young enough to still get in trouble despite knowing better. He is quiet and introspective most of the time, except when a favoured topic pops up and he turns into a chatter box.

Bio: Phineas doesn't talk a lot about his past, but a few facts can be gleaned from him. He left his relatively quiet hometown on his 16th birthday to move to Toronto. Why he left, he won't say, but he quickly got a job at a grocery store as a night stocker and at a hotel as a handyman. As soon as he was able, he got into hotel front desk work, his hard-working demeanour helping him rise easily through the ranks. He likes keeping his personal life personal, but he will talk if you get him in the right mood.

Education: He studied philosophy at Athens University in Greece, but had to drop after his second year, because his parents found out that he wasn’t studying to become a doctor as they wanted, and stopped funding his education.
Hobbies: He loves being out socializing, or if he’s on his own, he’s usually out traveling, seeing things that he’s never seen before. When he is at home, he loves cooking- and cooks all the time. He also is a huge movie buff, favoring cheesy horror and good classic suspense- his favorite director ever is Hitchcock.
Bio: Adonis loved living in Greece. His family owns a large estate outside Mykonos that he grew up in, and he always looks back at the time he spent there favorably. As he got older, his parents started pressuring him more and more to go to med school- following the family tradition. He never had much interest in medicine himself, but he did diligently apply to Athens University when he was 17. He just failed to mention to his parents that his major was in Philosophy, rather than medicine.

He loved his studies at the school. He was never a particularly good student when it came to getting papers in on time, but he still loved what he was learning, and soaked up all the information. He also loved the life of a student, and took much advantage of all the parties and social events on campus. It was at the school that he met Alexei Konstantin- a med student. The two developed a close friendship very quickly, despite their vastly different outlooks on life. By the time his second year of school rolled around, Adonis couldn’t imagine his life without Alexei in it.

After he finished his second year of studies, his parents found out about his major, and stopped paying for his tuition. Adonis was forced to drop school, and he promptly left home then, starting on a long trip around Europe. If he couldn’t study what he wanted to, he decided that he’d still do what he wanted to anyway. Seeing the world was what he wanted more than anything. He kept in touch with Alexei through all of that, and still made time for frequent trips back to Greece. He supported himself by working at restaurants throughout his travels- he was lucky enough to meet a Chef that took him under his wing in Italy, and he used his connections to get into places all over Europe.

Eventually, his travels found him in North America. He was 22 when he arrived, and he managed to meet some great people, landing a job as a roadie, where he worked closely with Rowan Sherwood for a year. Good times were had, but they eventually separated as Adonis moved on from that as well.

He stumbled across his friend once more working at the Café Nocturne. This is where Adonis finds himself now. His natural charisma and outgoing attitude quickly earned him a job as a Café Boy, where he happily works now, although he still hopes to finish his education eventually, and see what he can make of himself from there.

His life now has been shaped by so many things, but recent events have affected him very strongly. Earlier in the year, he heard from his parents in Greece again, finding that his mother had been diagnosed with liver cancer. He traveled there to see them, and his lack of communication with them over the years has turned into the one big regret of his life. Also, he went through a period of helping Rowan get through a drug addiction. What he saw in that time really opened his eyes as to just what kind of potential the human spirit has. Now he lives his life trying to use the things he has learned, and never let his perception become clouded again.
